About

Biography

I received a BS in physics and mathematics from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, where I also researched multiple populations in globular clusters with Jason Smolinski. In 2021, I was awarded a Goldwater Scholarship based in part on this research.

Currently, I am a third-year astronomy graduate student at the Institute for Astronomy. At the IfA, I work with Ben Shappee studying various astronomical transients such as tidal disruption events and type Ia supernovae.

Outside of astronomy, I enjoy watching and playing hockey.
